Volunteers play an integral role in our school by learning and sharing through a reciprocal relationship. The ability to support the learning of students is highly rewarding and we relish the opportunity to facilitate people to build the necessary skills and qualifications required to continue this work, either here at Currimundi Special School or beyond, in other contexts.
People volunteer for a huge range of reasons. For some it is an aspect of their studies, and we have welcomed people doing training for education degrees, modules for a range of certificates as well as Paramedic and OT students doing community placements.
Other volunteers support student learning by delivering sports and activities as coaches and instructors as well as experts and educators delivering incursions or shows.
If you have one of these needs or would like to volunteer for any other reason, please reach out to our school co-ordinator on 54910222.
Alternatively, complete an EOI form which can be emailed in to express your interest.
The Queensland Department of Education requires that all volunteers have a valid Blue Card.
