Currimundi Special School is located in the North Coast Region on the Sunshine Coast just north of Caloundra. The school draws its student population from Maroochydore and Buderim in the north, to Caloundra and Pelican Waters in the south and as far west as the communities of Landsborough and Beerwah.
We are proud to be a Queensland State Special School that provides learning experiences that are highly adapted and individualised for students with complex educational needs in a safe, supportive and caring environment.
Our values and beliefs are strongly embedded in the elements of appropriate learning experiences that are meaningful and success orientated, in which we anticipate high but realistic expectations and opportunities for all students.
Our school motto 'Together we grow' underpins our philosophy that it is only when we work together that we will grow in all areas of our lives. This belief is demonstrated in our commitment to support students to achieve their very best through quality learning experiences aimed at developing and enhancing academic skills, communication, social and daily living skills.
We provide educational programs from Prep to Grade 12 for students residing from Maroochydore to Pelican Waters and west to Beerwah.
