With the support of Scripture Union Queensland, Currimundi Special School has proudly offered the services of a school chaplain to our students and families. Chappy Mel enjoys working alongside the school community to build on the theme of equipping and inspiring students to be caring, safe and successful.
A school Chaplain is a safe person for children to connect with at school, providing a listening ear, caring presence and message of hope. They care for students and families struggling with the pressures of the modern world or those specific to their own family. Chaplains can provide assistance for students struggling with the normal pressures of growing up whether it be through developing that special one-to-one relationship or running positive and fun activities that help build and strengthen vital friendships.
