Here at Currimundi Special School we celebrate and recognise student literacy development in so many ways, and we also want to recognise the importance of the development of numeracy skills. So today we celebrated Numeracy Day. Numeracy Day is a morning of numeracy related activities that shows students and their families how much fun can be had while learning!! Some highlights this year were the beebots with students showing off their basic coding skills, the STEM wall, and the obstacle course looking at how we can move according to directions.
It was wonderful to have so many families come and take part with their student. Thank you to the staff who coordinated and set up Numeracy Day, and to the senior secondary students who ran Snack Shop which gave families the opportunity to have morning tea together.
